Project overview

With a passion for the airline industry, I saw the opportunity to redesign the Air New Zealand app during my exchange in New Zealand in 2014.

Using the app often, I identified UX behaviors that could improve in terms of flow, and visually adapt the language to the extraordinary natural beauty of New Zealand.

Situation

Mobile with a poor experience

Multiple flows sending the user to external screens, design not reflecting the brand's scale, zero visual connection with the country's identity.

Task & action

Interface analysis and new flow and screen proposal

Audit of the current experience, mapping friction points, and proposing a new information architecture and visual flows aligned with the brand.

Results

New flowchart, information architecture and screens with a new experience and visual identity

An end-to-end conceptual redesign: new flowchart, new IA and high-fidelity screens making the experience coherent with the brand's territory.
